For a painted wood sign you’ll need:
- Wood sign blank or board
- Sandpaper
- Base coat paint
- Stencil vinyl
- Transfer tape
- Weeding tool
- Scraper
- Acrylic paint for the lettering
- Stencil brush or foam pouncer
Supplies for laser wood signs
For a laser-engraved wood sign you’ll need:
- Laser engraver or cutter
- Wood board or sign blank
- Masking tape to reduce scorch marks
- Sandpaper
- Wood glue for layered cut pieces
- Clear sealer or finishing oil
For a vinyl T-shirt you’ll need:
- Blank shirt
- Heat transfer vinyl
- Weeding tool
- Heat press or household iron
- Heat-resistant cover sheet or parchment paper
- Lint roller
Supplies for sublimation t-shirts
For a sublimation shirt you’ll need:
- Polyester or poly-blend white or light shirt
- Sublimation printer and ink
- Sublimation paper
- Heat press
- Heat-resistant tape
- Butcher paper
- Cardboard or a shirt insert
For a painted doormat you’ll need:
- Plain coir doormat
- Stencil vinyl or a cut stencil sheet
- Weeding tool
- Outdoor acrylic or spray paint
- Stiff stencil brush
- Painter's tape
Tips by method
